we finished our sophomore effort!

we did it! we finally recorded finish 'murder for madness', our final song. it was especially hard because it features the wind, panting, girls screaming, judges thudding their gavel, and echoes. and the final result is way cool!

here's the track meanings:
01 the songwriter and the string: shen le as the songwriter has no choice but to write whatever her brain comes up with. she is controlled by God, like a puppet on strings.
02 Miasma: a scorned girl cursed her worthless boyfriend.
03 eradication of pain: a sinner repents as he suffers the agonies in hell.
04 you are my sin: eve tries to subdue her seducing temptations to take the forbidden fruit.
05 nobody knows: shen le writes about how child abuse has affected her.
06 murder for madness: a passionate man kills, rapes, then eats his girlfriend when she does not want to marry him.
07 in a darkened room: drug addicts writes about sufferings drugs has cost them in jail.
08 lavia: a woman tries to kill her child to protect her from the cruel world.
09 grendel's demise: an ode sympathising with grendel as a man who is just ugly, so everyone hates him.
10 our farewell: a girl sings about her family member dying.

since this is called "old shadows linger", the stories behind the songs are all pretty dark. but there is a glimmer of hope for the third album...
